Traditional locks like all locks require patience and time to mature. Many people install locks thinking they can save time on hair maintenance. Locks do require less maintenance to a degree, however, initially the installation process can be a sensitive time requiring a lot of attention.
Locks are a commitment. You should do your research. Ask your potential loctician questions about the best hair washing techniques and requirements – if any, be sure to keep your appointments. For traditional locks initially you may need to retighten every 2-4 weeks depending on your hair type.
After your locks have matured you may only need to visit your loctician every 4-8 weeks. Always follow your locticians recommendation regarding your maintenance process and schedule.
